About Me

My photo
The Chinese word "Yi" is our logo, which means 'memory'. Ken and I are both in love with this word. 'Yi', the word is made of two parts. The left side symbolizes 'heart' and right symbolizes 'meaningfulness'. Together, the word is not just about memory, it is about something that is meaningful to the heart. Like my name, I am outgoing and fun. A true romantic girl by heart...I am passionate about my photography work and alwasy wanting to capture all the special moments and turn them into a beautiful story. Shalon & Alfredo Wedding - Calgary Urban Wedding Photography - Calgary Willlow Park Golf Course Wedding Photography

Shalon and Alfredo are both kind and sweet. They truly made us feel proud to be the photographers who capture their special day. When we are tired and exhausted from photographing weddings, we will always look back and remember all the smiles and warmth we got from kind couples like them. Anastasia & Ramit Engagement Photos - Calgary Urban Wedding Photographers

Anastasia and Ramit met us in another wedding. They were in a wedding party where the entire photo shoot happened in a super cold windy day in Banff. Now it is finally their term, Anastasia and Ramit told me that they were willing to try everything which allowed us lots of room for creativity. Too bad we didn't find a dumpster....they were willing to go that far ^^! I almost had a flash back moment of two years ago...where I told my own wedding photographers that I would be willing to do anything for my wedding photos....even that means I have to lie in the middle of the street....Now I stand behind camera and sincerely thanking all my 'brave' brides and grooms...who help me create all these amazing images and make everything possible.

Shalon & Alfredo's E-session - Engagement Photos Calgary

I know this post is very different from my late styles (urban / modern), but the scenery was so beautiful that I want every colour to pop out the frame. I have to say that I really enjoyed changing photo locations (dying to return to this park^^ for months), as well as style of shooting and editing. It was a wonderful experience for me to create something different. I have to omit that I can force myself to shoot and edit photos into a specific style, but my heart will scream to be free and creative^^! Shalon and Alfredo, we fought with lots of misquotes on Sat, and I hope all the sacrifices got paid off.
